Private Residential Landlords
Registration of Private Landlords under Part 8 of the Antisocial Behaviour etc (Scotland) Act 2004.
Anyone who owns residential property in Scotland which is let must apply to register with the local authority for the area where the property is located, unless covered by one of the exemptions.
One of the requirements of being a registered landlord is to have an Energy Performance Certificate for the property.
Energy Survey
Your property will be surveyed for energy efficiency and you will be supplied with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
The first page of the EPC must be kept in the property for the benefit of the tenant.
The EPC will rate your property's energy efficiency from G (worst) to A (Best)
Energy Advice
Your new EPC will list suggested measures to be taken to increase the efficiency of your property. In addition, GreenHighland will offer bespoke, practical advice on how to improve the rating of your home.
